San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica, is located in the Central Valley at 3,800 feet above sea level with a population of 1 million. The city bustles with all the activity of any major metropolitan area but at a much slower pace. In addition to San Jose, the urban area of the Central Valley comprises the cities of Alajuela, Cartago and Heredia.

San Jose is the "capital" or headquarters of half day and full day tour departures to some of the most exciting places in Costa Rica. The famous Rain Forest Aerial Tram Tour allows visitors of all ages and physical ability to travel up through the forest canopy to a world that few have ever seen.
