ITINERARY

1ST DAY • U.S. / SAN JOSE
Arrival in San Jose International Airport where you will be met by our representatives. Transfer to the deluxe Real Inter-Continental, Hotel Corteza Amarilla Alta Hotel or to the superior tourist Irazú Hotel, or downtown Hotel Balmoral in San Jose .

2ND DAY • TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
In the morning, your trip to Tortuguero National Park on the Atlantic Coast will begin. You will depart to Limon crossing Costa Rica from west to east, descending into the lowlands of the Caribbean coast. We will stop for breakfast and continue through a great variety of life zones, like a cloud forest, dense jungles, rivers, lakes and waterfalls that plummet from high cliff into a lush green sea of tropical growth. In Hamburgo de Siquirres, an area surrounded by banana plantations, you will board a river boat where our exciting tour will begin. During the two hour trip, you will be able to observe various animals and vegetation. Late afternoon you will arrive at the Pachira Lodge in Tortuguero for check-in dinner and overnight. Meals BLD

3RD DAY • TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will explore the National Park of Tortuguero . It is the green turtle nesting site you have probably seen on T.V. It has nature trails as well as river channels where you can see many land and sea birds, monkeys and even the rare manatee. The tour ends on the beaches of the park where you can see turtle tracks and occasionally nearly hatched babies. Lunch at the lodge. The afternoon is at leisure or you can rent locally a canoe to further explore the area. After dinner visit the village and tavern. During the turtle season (July to September) you can take a walk on the beach where you may see turtles nesting.  Meals BLD

4TH DAY • SAN JOSE / QUEPOS
After an early breakfast, we board our small commercial aircraft for the short 40 min. flight back to San Jose . On flight, enjoy incredible aerial views of Costa Rica 's vast biodiversity landscape. If clear enough, you may have the unique simultaneous view of both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans . Upon arrival in San Jose connection in time for your flight to Quepos. Upon arrival, transfer to the deluxe Hotel La Mariposa or superior tourist hotel Casitas Eclipse for check-in. Balance of day at leisure. Meals B

5TH & 6TH DAY •MANUEL ANTONIO
Two full days at leisure to explore one of the world's most beautiful beaches, Manuel Antonio, is in store for you. For nature lovers, it is surrounded by wildlife protected lands. The evergreen forest of this national park (closed Mondays) reaches down to a fine white sand beach, bordered by a crystal clear warm tropical ocean. Manuel Antonio houses a variety of animal life. Amongst the park’s beaches, forests and mangrove swamps lives many bird species, sloth, and monkeys. Take advantage of exciting optional excursions Horse back ride, raft the challenging Class III-IV Rio Naranjo, go dolphin watching or take a sunset dinner cruise. Meals B daily

7TH DAY • RAINMAKER PROJECT / SAN JOSE
After breakfast check out and departure for the famous Rainmaker Conservation Project en route back to San Jose. Once at Rainmaker, a canopy bridge system winding along Rio Seco affords unobstructed views from a bird's eye level in the treetops. Connected by a series of platforms, the walkway system is comprised of 5 spans of varying length, including the highest and longest of its kind. The river walk culminates with a dip in a pristine pool fed by the pure waters of Rainmaker Mountain . Box lunch is provided. After the tour we continue back to San Jose for check in at your hotel and overnight. Meals BL
